Southern Delaware Acting Opportunity for curious performers ready to hone their craft and challenge their minds…
Possum Point Players’ boundary-pushing process-oriented affiliate group ON THE EDGE [OTE] has pivoted its format to create an Actor’s Studio in the heart of Georgetown, DE. Our work focuses on putting the artist’s process at the forefront and creating a heightened understanding of the greater theatrical works (lots of new and some old).
We meet every Thursday (besides the first Thursday of the month) in the Green Room of PPPs’ Possum Hall from 7:00p - 9:30p.
BEGINNING ON Thursday JUNE 15 (and meeting again Thursday JUNE 22 & Thursday JUNE 29): We will be leading our second round of scene-work with Clare Barron’s DANCE NATION.
There will be three full sessions in the month of June where actors and artists will be invited to stretch their minds through script analysis, physical exercises and acting techniques — generating scene work with fellow creatives and workshopping scenes from some of the greatest contemporary playwrights.
CONTENT WARNING: DANCE NATION includes mature language, content, and themes.
We recommend all artists 16+ for this round of sessions.
We will be offering a virtual option for those who are non-local.
THOSE INTERESTED are asked to contact ppp.ontheedge@gmail.com expressing your interest!

It's nearing midnight in Wyoming, where four young conservatives have gathered at a backyard after-party. They've returned home to toast their mentor Gina, newly inducted as president of a tiny Catholic college. But as their reunion spirals into spiritual chaos and clashing generational politics, it becomes less a celebration than a vicious fight to be understood. On a chilly night in the middle of America, Will Arbery's haunting play offers grace and disarming clarity, speaking to the heart of a country at war with itself.
Will Arbery’s HEROES OF THE FOURTH TURNING received widespread acclaim during its World Premiere Off-Broadway run in 2019 at Playwrights Horizons, garnering the 2020 Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Play, the 2020 New York Critics Circle Award for Best Play, and becoming a 2020 Pulitzer Finalist for Drama. “‘Heroes’ risks a rare stage subject: Christian Conservatism. A Red-State unicorn.”
