PJ's meet on the 3rd Monday of every month from 5:00p - 7:00p

What Makes the Possum experience unique? Possum Juniors are an affiliate group here at Possum Point Players. The purpose of our group is to provide opportunities for young performers and theatre artists to develop skills and friendships within the world of theatre. Membership is free and open to any student currently enrolled in grades 5 through 12. The "PJ's" (as we affectionately known) meet on the 3rd Monday of every month from 5:00p - 7:00p.

Each monthly workshop meeting focuses on a different aspect of the theatre world, along with improvisation and games to build confidence, creativity, and comradery. We cover topics such as makeup, lighting, costuming, choreography, playwriting, auditioning, as well as a focus on acting techniques and the fundamentals of theatre.  Our workshops are offered from September through May.

 During the summer months we have the opportunity to take the stage with a full-scale production, exploring a variety of genres, from plays to musicals to theatre-for-youth productions! The auditions for these shows are open to anyone in grades 5 through 12 regardless of participation in previous PJ meetings. PJ's also have the opportunity to work with Possum Point Players in a variety of other roles such as assisting backstage, helping with tech needs, ushering, and of course performing in main stage productions.
